Sly Cooper used to be developed by Sucker Punch Productions. That's it. Now it's Sanzaru Games, Sony International, Rainmaker, Blockade, Technicolor Animation Productions, and PGS Brand Management. It's getting difficult to keep all these companies straight. So here's a brief rundown of Technicolor Animation Productions.

The animation company was founded in Paris, France in 2003 under the name "Genao Productions." In 2007, they changed their name to "Timtoon Productions," in 2012 they changed their name again to "OuiDo! Productions," and in 2015 they changed their name AGAIN to "Technicolor Animation Productions." With all these name changes, I wonder if they're just try to escape the law or get out of paying child support...

Technicolor's most noteworthy past CG animation works include Alvinnn!!! and the Chipmunks (a comedy series targeted for younger children), and more importantly, Sonic Boom, an animated adaptation of the AAA Sonic the Hedgehog games. If anything, Sonic Boom should be a pretty accurate litmus test for how the Sly Cooper series will turn out.
