Sadly, there was no sign of anything Sly related at the conference. I'm not gonna lie, I'm quite disappointed and surprised that Sucker Punch didn't even attend. Looks like we'll have to wait until PSX.

I'm not surprised that there wasn't any mention of Sly Cooper (though I am disappointed), but I am shocked that Sucker Punch didn't have a game in the showcase. I believe there were multiple industry insiders and rumors stating that Sucker Punch was going to announce something. I'm also a fan of the inFamous series and the obscure Rocket: Robot on Wheels game, all of which came from Sucker Punch. They could've announced anything and I'd still be happy (though I would be happiest if it was Sly lol). The fact they didn't attend is actually a little concerning; they've been awfully quiet for a small studio that can only focus on one game at a time. It makes me wonder if something is going on within the company or between them and Sony. Anyway, maybe its a good thing. Since Sucker Punch wasn't even there, at least there's still the possibility that MAYBE they're working on Sly instead of something else - who knows! Anyway, PSX is always better and packed with a lot more content and games. We'd probably have a much better chance of getting news on a smaller scale game (as in, not just the massive AAA titles like Spiderman). Historically though, I think Sly Cooper games have always made appearances at E3 when they were in the works :/ *shrug* who knows though, really. All this speculation could drive ya crazy! I just don't want to wait for Sly 5 as long as I waited for Sly 4! ARGH

I'm not sue if anything is going on between them and Sony, but it could be the case of their game not being ready to announce yet. I just hope we get something at PSX and that Sucker Punch at least gives us some hints or teases of a new Sly game on their twitter like they've done before. But on the other hand, this year's Sony E3 conference was a bit underwhelming to say the least, a very good conference but underhwelming. Leave a Reply. |
